My First Gallery Sale

When I was seventeen, my artwork was accepted into a gallery. I had developed a spray paint and stencil technique that created crystalline forms. One of those pieces sold for over $100, which was astonishing to me because I had never experienced anyone placing that kind of value on something I created. The surprising lesson was that sometimes we underestimate the value of our own abilities because they feel natural to us. What feels ordinary from the inside can be extraordinary from the outside. That experience taught me to pay attention to the gifts we develop quietly before the world recognizes them.
